Our new scooter

August had a great first Christmas.  He surprisingly played with his new toys more than the wrapping paper! 

Our little guy is SO close to crawling.  He gets up on his knees and jiggles, but then gets back to scooter position.  He's getting pretty quick with his scooting!  Oh my goodness, he's so much fun right now.  Laughing all the time and very engaging.  August loves to be startled, so we're always jumping out at him.  Guess he'll be up for haunted houses in no time!

In case you're curious about the latest on our rat Zira, she's STILL alive!  The hole she chewed in her belly is beginning to heal and seems to be sealing itself up.  It's the strangest thing I've ever seen.  She has a few new tumors, but they're not slowing her down either.  I'm starting to think that she'll live to see 2010!
